Sports: Liverpool FC arrives in Singapore to warm welcome from sea of local fans

A sea of red took over The Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore on Friday (28 July) afternoon as over 100 supporters armed with jerseys, posters and banners gathered to welcome Premier League giants Liverpool FC.

Raucous cheers greeted the team bus even before players stepped off and the crowd upped the volume as head coach Jürgen Klopp emerged first. The charismatic German took 20 minutes to interact with fans at the hotel, graciously acceding to requests for selfies and autographs.

The players appeared in high spirits as they arrived with fan favourites including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold greeting the crowd with waves and smiles. Fans were also excited to see new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
