Shopping Time: Pasir Ris Mall Celebrates Successful Grand Opening as the Newest Hub in the East

Pasir Ris Mall, the latest addition in the East of Singapore, jointly developed by Allgreen Properties Limited and Kerry Properties Limited proudly celebrated its grand opening today. The grand opening was officiated by Guests of Honour, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Mr Desmond Tan, Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, and Mr Sharael Taha, Member of Parliament, Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.

Since its soft opening on 12 June 2024, Pasir Ris Mall has quickly become a vibrant hub for both Pasir Ris residents and visitors, offering a diverse mix of retail, dining, and entertainment options. Shoppers can look forward to a range of exciting developments that will establish Pasir Ris Mall as the neighbourhood’s new focal point.

More facilities in and around the mall will progressively be available in the years to come, starting with a new polyclinic set to open at the end of 2024, and the forthcoming Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub, which will include a new bus interchange in 2025 as well as the future Cross Island Line, which will be directly accessible from the mall’s basement. In 2026, the mall’s Town Plaza will be complete to allow larger gatherings.

Additionally, while the connectivity of the Central Greenway is still in progress, the section adjacent to Pasir Ris Mall is already open, offering a perfect spot for family bonding and leisurely activities. It provides a scenic pathway for pedestrians and cyclists alike, and features numerous alfresco dining options that allow visitors to enjoy their meals in a refreshing outdoor setting. Families can also look forward to the interactive outdoor playground, which provides a fun and engaging space for children.

Pasir Ris Mall’s commitment to making a positive impact on the environment is exemplified through its sustainable building materials and environment-friendly fixtures. The mall has integrated advanced technologies to minimise its ecological footprint, including energy-efficient light fittings, high performance glasses for greater thermal resistance, a highly-efficient air conditioning system that ensures optimal energy usage throughout the mall, as well as solar-powered landscape lighting. Through Green Leases, the mall works together with its tenants to maintain and improve its sustainability efforts. These efforts have earned the Mall the prestigious BCA Green Mark Platinum Award and the development was also financed through a green loan from DBS Bank, Maybank and OCBC Bank.

Bringing together its sustainability and CSR efforts, Pasir Ris Mall has also collaborated with The Art Faculty, a social enterprise by the Autism Resource Centre, to commission self-taught artist Kevin Lim to specially design a reusable shopping bag and thermo bottle for its grand opening. The unique design showcases a sketch of Pasir Ris Mall in Kevin’s distinctive style, and underscores the mall’s commitment to supporting talented artists on the autism spectrum while promoting environmental sustainability.
