Singapore Sports Hub rebrands as The Kallang: A New Epicentre for Sport, Entertainment, and Lifestyle

Singapore’s iconic Sports Hub has a bold new identity. As of 28 November 2025, the precinct formerly known as the Singapore Sports Hub has been rebranded The Kallang, managed under its new corporate entity, The Kallang Group. But this change is about more than a name—it’s a signal of the precinct’s evolution into a vibrant, multi-use destination for sport, entertainment, lifestyle, and community.

“The Kallang will be Singapore’s excitement epicentre — where community, sport and world-class entertainment come together in one place, and where you feel alive,” said Keith Magnus, Chairman of The Kallang Group, at the launch event held at the National Stadium’s Bank of Singapore Lounge.

Joining him at the event were Quek Swee Kuan, CEO of The Kallang Group, staff, and over 300 stakeholders and partners who collectively represent The Kallang’s four pillars: sport, entertainment, lifestyle, and community.

Since the government’s takeover in 2022, The Kallang has undergone a remarkable transformation. It has hosted over 4,000 sports, entertainment, and community event days, welcoming around 9.5 million visitors. World-class sporting events such as the World Aquatics Championships and World Para Swimming Championships have been staged alongside unforgettable concerts featuring global stars, from Lady Gaga to Blackpink.

Keith Magnus reflected, “When we took over in 2022, we made a deliberate pivot away from being just a venue-for-hire. We set out to become the tip of the spear for curating world-class experiences, and a trusted partner to the world’s largest players in sport and entertainment.”

Sports legends and community leaders alike have praised The Kallang as a home for excellence. Yip Pin Xiu, Singapore’s most decorated Paralympian, said, “For Team Singapore athletes, The Kallang has always been a training ground and stage for world-class excellence. This refreshed identity will continue to inspire the nation and provide a home for iconic sporting moments.”

“Kallang” is more than a location; it is also a symbol of national pride, a place where Singaporeans come together to cheer, celebrate, and create memories. From the Kallang Roar to the Kallang Wave, generations of fans have united here, and now the precinct’s evolution embraces that rich sporting heritage while expanding into lifestyle, entertainment, and community.

Magnus emphasizes, “This precinct has grown into a true community space — where Singapore gathers, where memories are made, and where moments become part of our collective story. Every visitor matters. Every athlete matters. Every artiste matters. And your individual memory is our greatest trophy.”

The Kallang’s tagline, “Feel Alive”, captures its mission to deliver immersive, memorable experiences. Anchored in four core values—Connection, Vibrancy, Excellence, and Leadership—the precinct is designed to foster community, energize visitors, and operate with world-class precision.

Visitors can expect a mix of marquee events, diverse programming, and community activations. From Countdown 2026, featuring a Super Junior concert and the longest fireworks display in Singapore, to the inaugural Kallang Pass, granting lucky winners access to multiple 2026 events, The Kallang is building a calendar designed to delight and inspire.

Charles Hsiung, President of APG, highlighted the precinct’s global significance: “The Kallang’s strength lies in its efficiency, multifunctional capability, and clear delivery of the organisation’s values and mission. It is a dynamic platform for Singapore to elevate the live event experience, inspire athletes to perform their best, deliver memorable moments that resonate deeply with fans across the world, and strengthen the region’s role in the global sport landscape.”

Infrastructure enhancements are underway to transform The Kallang into an even more dynamic destination. Upcoming features include new alfresco dining concepts, a sheltered padel ecosystem, refreshed family-friendly spaces, and an upgraded Splash-N-Surf playscape for children. The precinct’s mall will also be revitalized while remaining fully operational, ensuring a continuous flow of activity and engagement.

Magnus noted, “As we enter this next phase of growth, we are elevating both the curation and the hardware of the precinct with major upgrades, new national facilities and an even bolder calendar of marquee events.”

While The Kallang is synonymous with world-class experiences, its heart remains rooted in community. Since 2023, the precinct has partnered with over 100 charities to create thousands of opportunities for underserved groups to enjoy sports, entertainment, and recreational activities. Plans are underway to establish a philanthropic fund, giving donors and supporters a direct role in uplifting the communities The Kallang serves.

“It is where Singapore comes alive. It is a feeling. A connection. A shared experience,” Magnus said. “The Kallang has never been just a place—it is where YOU feel alive.”
