If you’re still deciding where to welcome the New Year, The Kallang (FKA Singapore Sports Hub) is shaping up to be one of the places to count down to 2026. On 31 December, Singapore’s iconic sports and entertainment precinct transforms into a vibrant playground of music, colour and celebration, complete with the city’s longest New Year’s Eve fireworks display, a star-studded concert headlined by Super Junior, and a brand-new giveaway that promises a year of unforgettable experiences.
From family-friendly activities to late-night revelry by the water, Countdown 2026 at The Kallang offers something for everyone — and best of all, admission to the precinct festivities is free.

Making its debut this year is The Kallang Pass, a new signature highlight that ups the stakes for New Year’s Eve. One lucky winner will walk away with a pair of tickets granting year-long access to major sports and entertainment events at the National Stadium and Singapore Indoor Stadium throughout 2026.
Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 18 and above, participation begins on 15 December. Contest cards can be collected at selected information counters around The Kallang, with entries dropped on-site during the countdown event itself. The winner will be announced live on New Year’s Eve — so staying till the final moments could be extra rewarding.

Festivities kick off from 7.00pm, with the entire precinct buzzing well before midnight. Families can start the evening at OCBC Square, where puppet shows, a kids’ mass dance party and a Shimmer and Shine Zone promise plenty of energy for little ones. Rising local artist WhyLucas will also perform, bringing soulful vocals and upbeat rhythms to the square.
As the night unfolds, visitors can wander through pop-up glam bars offering glitter tattoos, face painting and hair beading, while colourful countdown processions featuring roving performers bring the party to every corner of The Kallang.

The fireworks programme is a show in itself, unfolding over four chapters across 35 minutes above the Kallang Basin. An early five-minute display at 9.00pm gives families a chance to enjoy the spectacle before bedtime. Two more vibrant chapters build anticipation as midnight approaches, each choreographed to upbeat pop tracks and dynamic colour palettes.
Then, as the clock strikes twelve, the grand finale lights up the sky with a breathtaking 15-minute fireworks display, perfectly timed with a live performance by Super Junior. Prime viewing spots include the Stadium Riverside Walk, Water Sports Centre, Lawn Bowls at The Kallang and various vantage points around the basin — so arriving early is highly recommended.
For those who prefer a more intimate celebration, The Kallang Beach Club offers a ticketed experience with a live feed of the concert and uninterrupted waterfront views of the fireworks. Tickets are priced at $100 for four people, with festive picnic boxes available for pre-order — ideal for ringing in the New Year in comfort and style.

The Countdown 2026 Concert at The Kallang brings together an exciting mix of international and homegrown talent. Alongside K-pop legends Super Junior, the line-up includes Chinese vocalist Cheng Huan, Benjamin Kheng, Tabitha Nauser, Iman Fandi, DJs Inquisitive and Farah Farz, and high-energy dance crews from O School.
While concert tickets are sold out, the celebration is far from exclusive. The live concert will be streamed at satellite screening sites at OCBC Square and the Water Sports Centre, as well as across The Kallang’s social media platforms and iQiyi’s TikTok channels.
From fireworks over the basin to music that carries into the New Year, Countdown 2026 at The Kallang promises a night that’s big on spectacle, atmosphere and shared celebration; a fitting way to usher in 2026 at Singapore’s excitement epicentre.
