The Ultimate 2026 Summer Escape Starts at Resorts World Sentosa with CRYBABY, Minions and more

This summer, there’s no need to hop on a plane to discover something new. From giant CRYBABY installations and Minion-inspired mayhem to football legends, ocean adventures and sunset park experiences, Resorts World Sentosa is transforming into Singapore’s ultimate summer playground.

Running from 29 May to 30 August 2026, the resort’s new Summer of Treasures campaign invites visitors to explore a season packed with pop culture, family fun, exclusive experiences and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments.

Fans of POP MART’s beloved CRYBABY character are in for a treat. Singapore Oceanarium becomes home to Cry Me an Ocean, the largest CRYBABY activation ever staged at the attraction.

Expect larger-than-life inflatables, immersive photo spots and seven brand-new marine-themed CRYBABY characters scattered throughout the Oceanarium and surrounding spaces. The installations cleverly blend playful storytelling with marine education, offering visitors a fresh perspective on ocean life while providing plenty of opportunities for memorable photos.

The experience is included with regular admission, making it an easy addition to any family day out.

Chaos arrives in full force at Universal Studios Singapore with Illumination’s Minions & Monsters Summer. Inspired by the upcoming blockbuster film, the event brings new monster characters, live entertainment and themed food experiences to the park. Visitors can meet monster duo Howard and Irene, catch new Minions James and Henry in a live stage show, and sample playful menu items inspired by the franchise.

Of course, there is also plenty of exclusive merchandise for fans looking to take a piece of the adventure home. Combined with the park’s rides and attractions, it is the perfect excuse for a full day of family-friendly fun.

Adventure Cove Waterpark gets a kawaii makeover as Sanrio’s Hapidanbui boy band arrives for a tropical summer takeover. Fan favourites including Hangyodon, Kerokerokeroppi, Tuxedosam, Pochacco and Bad Badtz-Maru appear across the park in colourful installations and inflatable displays. Visitors can also enjoy themed snacks, collect character tattoos and shop exclusive merchandise designed especially for the event.

For Sanrio lovers, it is a rare chance to experience the characters in a completely new setting — poolside and under the sun.

While the summer lineup is packed with popular characters, there’s also a meaningful focus on ocean appreciation and sustainability. During World Oceans Day celebrations in June, Singapore Oceanarium will host family-friendly workshops, coral reef conservation activities, photography experiences and environmental film screenings. Visitors can learn about marine ecosystems through hands-on activities while discovering simple ways to contribute to conservation efforts.

Photography enthusiasts can also join guided photo walks led by award-winning photographer Joseph Goh, learning how to capture the beauty of marine life through creative visual storytelling.

For those looking to elevate their staycation, the return of Ocean Dreams offers one of Singapore’s most unique overnight experiences. Guests can spend the night inside Singapore Oceanarium in glamping-style tents positioned beside the breathtaking Open Ocean habitat. Complete with cosy furnishings, snacks, children’s activities and exclusive keepsakes, the experience transforms a traditional sleepover into an unforgettable encounter with the marine world.

Few experiences offer the chance to fall asleep while gazing at rays and fish gliding silently through the water.

Sports fans have plenty to look forward to this season. Football legends Michael Owen, Ryan Giggs and Dimitar Berbatov will make special appearances across selected weekends, giving fans opportunities for meet-and-greets and candid conversations. Local football icon Fandi Ahmad will also join the festivities for a special appearance.

Meanwhile, WEAVE will host the Hypebeast Cup Singapore Pop-Up, bringing together gaming, fashion, collectibles and football culture. Expect EA SPORTS FC tournaments, limited-edition merchandise and appearances by a life-sized LABUBU dressed in football gear.

For visitors who prefer cooler evenings, new twilight experiences offer a different way to enjoy the attractions. From 4pm onwards, guests can enter Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark and Singapore Oceanarium with specially curated twilight ticket options that include dining or retail perks. It’s an ideal way to experience the parks after the daytime crowds and heat have subsided.

The summer celebration extends beyond the attractions themselves. Visitors who spend at participating dining, retail or entertainment outlets can receive a Summer of Treasures scratch card with guaranteed prizes. Rewards range from hotel stays and attraction passes to shopping vouchers and exclusive collectibles, adding an element of surprise to every visit.

Whether you’re chasing the latest pop-culture craze, planning family adventures, meeting football heroes or simply looking for a fresh way to spend your weekends, Resorts World Sentosa’s Summer of Treasures offers something for every kind of explorer.

The beauty of the programme lies in its variety. One visit could take you from marine conservation workshops to Minion encounters, from Sanrio-themed treats to football legends — all without leaving Sentosa. This season, the real treasure may just be discovering how much there is to explore in your own backyard.
