Singapore’s wine scene is about to get a little more effervescent. Following a sold-out debut last year, the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (DFWE) returns to the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore on 22 November 2025, promising a day where connoisseurs and curious sippers alike can swirl, sip, and savour some of the world’s most extraordinary wines.

For one day only, the grand ballroom of the Shangri-La will transform into a playground for wine lovers a place where the clinking of glasses mingles with stories from legendary winemakers and the aroma of exceptional vintages fills the air.

At the heart of the event lies the Grand Tasting, featuring over 50 prestigious wineries spanning both Old and New World regions. Each producer will pour up to five exceptional wines — from rare vintages and special bottlings to coveted large formats.

One highlight not to miss: the Decanter World Wine Awards Winners’ Table, a curated selection of Gold, Platinum, and Best in Show winners from the 2025 awards — the largest and most influential wine competition in the world. It’s the rare chance to taste wines that have earned global acclaim, all in one place.

Beyond the Grand Tasting, Decanter will host three exclusive masterclasses, designed for those who crave a deeper connection with their glass.

• Château Margaux invites guests on a time-travelling tasting through four decades of Bordeaux brilliance.
• Brunello di Montalcino offers a side-by-side exploration of the acclaimed 2010 and 2020 vintages, showcasing the evolution of Tuscany’s iconic red.
• Henschke, one of Australia’s most revered family wineries, brings its flagship wines — including the legendary Hill of Grace Shiraz — to Singapore for an intimate tasting that few outside the Barossa ever experience.

For those who prefer a leisurely pace, the event also features a series of Editor’s Lunches: intimate three-course affairs that spotlight regions like Champagne, Tuscany, Chile, and Bordeaux. Expect lively conversation, expertly paired wines, and a convivial table of fellow enthusiasts.

For nearly three decades, the Decanter Fine Wine Encounter in London has been a fixture on every serious wine lover’s calendar — selling out for 27 consecutive years. The Singapore edition extends that legacy to Southeast Asia, cementing the city’s reputation as a hub for fine wine appreciation.
