This St. Patrick’s Day, Guinness brings the joy of pub culture to Singapore with The Guinness Hangout

St. Patrick’s Day in Singapore is usually a one-weekend affair. This year? It’s a full-blown citywide moment. From heritage streets to the riverfront, Guinness is stretching the celebration across three joyful weeks—turning everyday meet-ups into something louder, warmer, and a whole lot more Irish.

Think pop-up street parties, live music spilling onto sidewalks, and beautifully poured pints enjoyed shoulder to shoulder. In short: pub culture, minus the pub walls.

The celebrations kick off with The Guinness Hangout, a roaming pop-up that lands in two of Singapore’s most character-rich neighbourhoods: Emerald Hill (26–27 Feb) and Far East Square (5–6 Mar). By day, these areas hum quietly with history. By night, Guinness transforms them into open-air hangouts where the vibe is relaxed, social, and joyfully unpolished—exactly how a great pub night should feel.

What to expect:

  • Complimentary half pints (because generosity is very on-brand for St. Patrick’s Day)
  • A lively Pint Parade, led by the Guinness pint mascot and New Stream Brass Band, Singapore’s first New Orleans–style brass band
  • Live DJ sets from rising local talents like Mya and Sivanesh, spinning beats inspired by Guinness’ signature roasted barley
  • A Pour-Your-Own Pint station for anyone brave enough to master the famous two-part pour
  • A playful tattoo gachapon, serving up temporary Guinness-themed ink for the night

It’s less about ticking off activities and more about lingerin;chatting with friends, making new ones, and letting the night unfold naturally.

The grand finale arrives 13–15 March at Boat Quay, where the St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival turns the riverfront into a sea of green, music, and moving crowds. Co-presented with Singapore River One, this year’s edition is set to be bigger than ever—complete with an extra music stage and three days of non-stop energy.

Wander through the streets and you’ll find:

  • Three live music stages, featuring Celtic rock heavyweights Gan Ainm alongside modern DJ sets from names like SHANE2SWEET and CANDICEB
  • Traditional Irish performances by Comhaltas Singapore and the high-energy crowd favourite Irish Inspirational Dance Singapore
  • A makeover booth for glitter, shamrocks, and subtle (or not-so-subtle) St. Paddy’s flair

Between sets, pints flow freely, conversations spark easily, and the line between local and expat blurs into one big, cheerful crowd.

The celebrations don’t stop at Boat Quay. Pubs across the island are joining in, including a standout collaboration at Muddy Murphy’s, where the Fatti Burke x Guinness Pop-Up runs from 10–17 March—complete with Perfect Pour challenges and exclusive merchandise.

And yes, there’s merch worth earning. Through the Guinness Passport, the brand’s first digital rewards programme, every few pints unlocks limited-edition goodies—from bucket hats and tote bags to a camping chair and a bold Lovely Day for a Guinness T-shirt.

To keep things responsible, Guinness has also partnered Grab as the official transport partner, offering ride discounts and wallet-friendly Guinness deals across participating venues. This isn’t just a St. Patrick’s Day party—it’s a reminder of why pub culture matters. It’s about slowing down, raising a glass, and enjoying the simple pleasure of being together. And this March, wherever you find yourself in Singapore, chances are it’ll be a lovely day for a Guinness.
