Shopping: Jewel Changi Airport blooms into a floral wonderland with LEGO® Botanicals

Singapore’s most iconic indoor destination is now blooming in spectacular fashion. From towering roses built with hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks to immersive garden trails inspired by landscapes around the world, Jewel Changi Airport has unveiled a dazzling new floral takeover that blends nature, design, play, fashion, and imagination into one unforgettable experience.

Running from 26 May 2026, Celebrate Jewel Blooms with LEGO Botanicals transforms the lifestyle destination into what is now officially Southeast Asia’s largest showcase of LEGO Botanicals ever staged in a mall. The large-scale activation features approximately 800,000 LEGO bricks meticulously assembled into floral installations that stretch from the lush Forest Valley all the way to Canopy Park on Level 5, becoming an art installation, fantasy garden, and immersive playground designed for LEGO lovers, families, travellers, fashion enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a fresh way to experience Jewel.

The experience begins dramatically at the entrance to Jewel Forest Valley, where visitors are greeted by breathtaking oversized floral centrepieces rising against the backdrop of the HSBC Rain Vortex. Anchoring the installation is a pair of giant LEGO roses reaching 2.5 metres tall, surreal, sculptural, and unmistakably photogenic. Built entirely from LEGO bricks, the blooms create a striking contrast against the cascading indoor waterfall and Jewel’s signature greenery.

Around the Forest Valley, whimsical botanical characters are tucked among the foliage, including cheerful LEGO Botanicals Happy Plants and playful Rocking Plants displays that seem to emerge organically from the landscape itself. The installations feel intentionally integrated into Jewel’s architecture rather than simply placed within it — giving visitors the sensation of wandering through a dreamlike hybrid of nature and imagination.

The floral journey continues upstairs at Canopy Park, where Jewel’s top-floor attraction has been completely transformed into a horticultural fantasy inspired by the LEGO Icons “Gardens of the World” collection. Visitors move through a series of themed garden environments inspired by global landscapes and iconic LEGO sets, with each area designed to evoke a different mood and atmosphere.

At the tranquil Source Pool, guests encounter a serene Japanese-inspired garden modelled after the LEGO Icons 10315 Tranquil Garden Set. Here, carefully constructed LEGO koi fish glide beneath water lilies beside a traditional Japanese house, creating a meditative corner within the bustling attraction. The installation captures the stillness and harmony associated with Japanese garden design, encouraging visitors to slow down and linger.

Elsewhere, Foggy Bowls has been reimagined as a sun-soaked Mediterranean landscape inspired by the LEGO Icons 10359 Fountain Garden Set. Pergolas draped with vines frame bursts of sunflowers and tulips, while warm colours and architectural detailing evoke the feeling of a European courtyard in peak summer.

The final chapter unfolds at Petal Garden, where visitors step into an English countryside-inspired setting based on the 11372 Autumn Cottage Garden Set. Cosy cottages, whimsical mushroom houses, autumnal florals, and storybook scenery give the space an enchanting, almost cinematic quality. Throughout Canopy Park, LEGO builds appear woven directly into topiary displays and floral landscapes, blurring the lines between sculpture, garden design, and interactive art.

“We are delighted to debut Southeast Asia’s largest LEGO Botanicals showcase here at Jewel,” said Ms Lee Ching Wern, Chief Executive Officer of Jewel Changi Airport. “This collaboration reflects Jewel’s ongoing efforts to create distinctive experiences to delight visitors. By reinterpreting Jewel’s iconic indoor environment through the creative lens of LEGO, we are offering visitors a fresh and inspiring way to experience familiar spaces, complemented by exclusive retail offerings and experiential showcases. Canopy Park, in particular, has been transformed into a playful and vibrant wonderland with LEGO signature bricks and we are excited for our visitors to fully experience the immersive setup.”

The collaboration also reflects a growing appetite for experiential retail and immersive destination programming — especially among younger audiences seeking interactive, visually rich environments that merge entertainment, design, and social media culture.

One of the most unexpected highlights of the activation is its fashion collaboration with the Singapore Fashion Council, where LEGO Botanicals becomes the medium for avant-garde couture.

As part of the launch celebrations, a collective of Singapore-based designers and labels unveiled bespoke runway looks inspired by the LEGO Botanicals collection. The showcase merges florals, sculpture, wearable art, and storytelling into a bold reinterpretation of botanical fashion.

Participating designers include Joanna Lim, Sabrina Goh, Kha Ngo, Bhajinder Kaur, Clara Simanjuntak, Horas Napitupulu, and Sylvia Lim. Each designer approached the brief differently, some exploring identity and transformation, others sustainability, heritage, architecture, or digital reinterpretations of nature.

Joanna Lim’s “Fragmented Bloom: Studies of Self” explored identity through asymmetrical floral placements and layered silhouettes that reflected emotional evolution and contradiction, while Sabrina Goh’s “Blueprint Bloom” balanced architectural precision with organic movement, using floral elements that appeared to emerge naturally from highly structured garments.

Kha Ngo’s “LEGO Bloom” imagined flowers reconstructed through pixels and data, combining recycled textiles with modular LEGO botanical elements to explore sustainability and the intersection of physical and digital worlds, while Bhajinder Kaur’s dramatic “Architecture of Bloom — Exo Bloom: Kinetic Garden” featured an exoskeletal structure built from LEGO flowers, complete with moving tassels, sculptural accessories, and a goddess-inspired floral headpiece.

Meanwhile, Sylvia Lim’s seven-piece Triologie capsule celebrated Singapore heritage through luxurious silks, broderie anglaise, bold colour palettes, and tactile LEGO embellishments inspired by the UNESCO-listed Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Following the runway presentation, the fashion pieces will remain on display within Jewel, including at the LEGO pop-up store and visual merchandising spaces on Level 2. “We wanted to create an experience that encourages people to slow down and explore together in a playful and meaningful way,” said Ms Nina Patricia Da Costa, General Manager, Singapore, Malaysia, Travel Retail APAC, of the LEGO Group. “At the LEGO Group, we believe play has the power to spark creativity, foster connection and inspire imagination across generations. By blending Jewel’s deep connection to nature with the tactile and mindful experience of LEGO building, the activation invites visitors to experience LEGO Botanicals in an immersive and unexpected way.”

“We are also excited to collaborate with Singaporean designers through the LEGO Botanicals fashion showcase, highlighting the versatility of LEGO Botanicals as a creative medium while bringing fresh local perspectives to the experience. We hope visitors of all ages will discover memorable moments together across Jewel – one brick at a time.”

Beyond the installations, visitors can also participate in a seven-stop LEGO stamp rally spread across Jewel, including locations within Canopy Park. Those who successfully collect all stamps can redeem an exclusive souvenir at the LEGO pop-up store located at Basement 1, while stocks last.

The pop-up itself has been designed as an extension of the immersive experience, featuring giant LEGO builds, photo spots, and a curated selection of popular LEGO merchandise.

For shoppers, the campaign also includes several limited-time promotions. Visitors who spend a minimum of S$60 at Jewel can purchase exclusive LEGO premiums including a Brick Sling Bag, Brick Mug, Minifig Pouch, and Travel Organiser. Mastercard cardholders receive an additional purchase opportunity for selected items. UOB cardholders who spend at least S$150 can redeem a S$10 Jewel Gift Voucher.

Families visiting Canopy Park during the June school holidays can also enjoy up to 25% off the Double Nets Bundle — which includes access to both the Bouncing Net and Walking Net attractions. Meanwhile, visitors spending at least S$20 on Canopy Park attractions can redeem a scoop of classic ice cream from Monarchs & Milkweed for S$2.

What makes Celebrate Jewel Blooms with LEGO Botanicals especially compelling is the way it layers multiple experiences together. It is simultaneously an art exhibition, family outing, fashion showcase, lifestyle destination, retail activation, and interactive playground.

There are moments designed for reflection and calm, like the Japanese garden installations. Others lean fully into spectacle and social sharing, giant blooms framed against the Rain Vortex, whimsical floral characters hidden among the greenery, and couture garments embedded with LEGO blossoms.

The event also taps into a wider cultural shift toward tactile creativity and mindful play. LEGO Botanicals, originally embraced by adult fans as decorative collectible sets, has evolved into a broader lifestyle phenomenon that now intersects with home décor, wellness culture, fashion, and immersive design.

For travellers arriving in Singapore, it offers an unexpectedly imaginative welcome into the city. For locals, it transforms a familiar landmark into something entirely new again. And for anyone who has ever wanted to walk through a garden built from imagination and bricks, this might just be the season’s must-visit experience.
