There is something symbolic about a new football season: fresh kits, fresh fixtures and, this year, a brand-new ball ready to roll onto the pitch. For the Singapore Premier League (SPL), the 2026 season gets a new addition as adidas and the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) unveil the TIRO Pro 26, the competition’s new Official Match Ball.
The ball will make its on-pitch debut during the SPL Community Shield on 6 September, marking the beginning of a new chapter in adidas’ partnership with FAS and bringing the brand’s professional football credentials to Singapore’s top-tier domestic competition. For players and fans, it is a small but significant part of the spectacle, the object that will be at the centre of every pass, tackle, save and goal throughout the season.
The TIRO Pro 26 is not simply designed to look the part. FIFA Qualify-Pro certified, the Size 5 ball weighs between 430g and 440g and is built to maintain its shape, resist water absorption and deliver predictable trajectories across different weather conditions.
Its smooth 32-panel construction is designed to provide consistent flight and greater control, while a high-performance solid PU top layer and EPDM foam layer provide stability and structure. A patched carcass adds durability and rebound, while a reinforced bladder mix helps with air retention, keeping the ball firm and ready for the demands of a full season.
It is also approved for use across firm ground, artificial grass, hard ground and turf, making it suited to the variety of playing surfaces found across Singapore.

The new match ball is not reserved for the pros. The TIRO Pro 26 range is available in two versions: the TIRO PRO Singapore Premier League Ball, priced at S$149, and the TIRO Singapore Premier League Ball, priced at S$75. Both are available from 4 September via adidas’ Singapore channels and selected retail partners across the island, giving fans the opportunity to bring a piece of the new SPL season onto their own pitches.
For anyone who grew up kicking a football around void decks, school fields or neighbourhood courts, there is something particularly appealing about owning the same design associated with the country’s professional game.

The new ball also signals an expanded relationship between adidas and FAS. As the Official Technical Sponsor of the Football Association of Singapore, adidas will provide match and training balls for the Singapore Premier League, Singapore Cup and wider FAS activities, including official balls for club and national team use.
Referees across the SPL and Singapore Cup will also take to the field in adidas kits, creating a more unified visual identity across the competitions. More importantly, the partnership is intended to support the wider football ecosystem — from players and clubs to officials and the next generation of fans.
“This partnership with adidas is about raising the bar for football in Singapore, on and off the pitch. The TIRO Pro 26 gives our players and clubs a ball that meets the highest professional standards and having adidas as our Official Technical Sponsor across the competitions and leagues in Singapore. We’re glad to have a partner that shares our commitment in developing the game at every level.” Said Badri Ghent, General Secretary, Football Association of Singapore.

With the TIRO Pro 26 making its first appearance at the SPL Community Shield on 6 September, the timing feels fitting. A new season brings new ambitions, new rivalries and, inevitably, new moments that fans will remember. This time, they will all begin with a new ball.
And while the technology behind the TIRO Pro 26 is designed for the highest levels of the professional game, its arrival in Singapore is ultimately about something much simpler: keeping the ball moving, giving players the tools to perform and giving more people a reason to get involved in the game.
For local football, the 2026 season is ready to kick off.
