Singapore and Hong Kong’s nightlife is about to get a taste of Amsterdam’s underground. This November, acclaimed Amsterdam electronic-music collective and global platform Intercell is heading to Singapore and Hong Kong for a two-city showcase, bringing with it a heavyweight line-up spanning house, techno, UK garage, acid, breaks and bass.

Presented by Collective Minds Asia in collaboration with UMAMI, the Singapore edition will take place on Saturday, 21 November 2026, transforming the cavernous Pasir Panjang Power Station into an expansive electronic-music arena. The following night, on 22 November, the showcase moves to Hong Kong’s waterfront at AquaBeat, giving the Intercell experience a very different backdrop.

For Singapore, however, the choice of venue is particularly striking. With its soaring ceilings, exposed industrial framework and cavernous halls, the former power station offers exactly the kind of raw, unconventional setting that has become synonymous with Intercell’s identity.

Intercell’s story began in 2015, with an illegal rave on the outskirts of Amsterdam. What started underground has since developed into one of electronic music’s most distinctive independent platforms, known for its industrial spaces, artist-curated takeovers, unexpected back-to-backs and immersive approach to sound.

Rather than simply bringing a touring line-up from one city to another, Intercell builds each event around the character of its location, its artists and its dance community. That philosophy will be particularly evident in Singapore, where the international bill will meet local selectors Hammy B2B HBN, creating a bridge between Amsterdam’s warehouse spirit and the city’s own evolving club culture.

Headlining the Singapore and Hong Kong showcases is Australian electronic heavyweight Mall Grab, aka Jordon Alexander. Since emerging in 2015, Mall Grab has developed a genre-fluid sound that moves between house, techno, breaks, electro, jungle and hardcore. His Looking For Trouble label and event platform have helped shape a new generation of rave culture, while his 2022 debut album What I Breathe expanded his musical palette through collaborations with artists including Nia Archives, D Double E, Novelist and Turnstile’s Brendan Yates.

Joining him is Skin On Skin, the South Sudanese-Australian producer whose high-energy blend of techno, house, alternative hip-hop and hard-hitting 808s has made him a global dance-music favourite. His breakthrough came with Multiply on Steel City Dance Discs in 2019, followed by the launch of his own Stay On Sight Recordings and the global club favourite Burn Dem Bridges in 2022. With sold-out headline tours across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas, plus memorable back-to-backs with artists including Skrillex, Kettama and Mall Grab, Skin On Skin has become one of contemporary club music’s most dynamic performers.

British producer and DJ Effy brings another dimension to the line-up. A rising force in UK club music, Effy moves between acid house, techno, electro, breaks and UK bass. Since her 2020 debut with Fluffy Clouds, she has gone on to secure a Rinse FM residency, sell out headline tours across Europe, Australia and North America, and perform at major institutions including Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Parklife and Amnesia Ibiza.

Her collaboration with Mall Grab, iluv, became the first release on their jointly founded Fragrance Recordings, while her 2025 EP The Syndicate drew on her formative years in Blackpool and the North West of England, blending the nostalgia of British rave culture with the forceful bass sound that has become her signature.

Completing the international bill is Osmosis Jones, the Melbourne-based producer and DJ whose playful take on UK garage combines buoyant basslines, soulful two-step and speed garage with unexpected R&B and hip-hop influences. Alongside his growing international touring schedule, Osmosis Jones also runs INTHEHOUSE Records, a platform supporting the next generation of Australian garage producers.

While the international names will undoubtedly draw the crowds, the local pairings are an important part of the experience. Representing Singapore, Hammy B2B HBN brings together two distinct sides of the city’s underground sound. Hammy is known for a hypnotic blend of dub, breaks, electro and psychedelic warmth, while HBN, co-founder of Last Saturdays, brings UK garage, baile funk and bass-heavy selections to the pairing.

In Hong Kong, UMAMI mainstay Sleepy B2B Ray will take over, moving through groove-led house, Italo and progressive sounds before pushing towards UK garage and bass. Each stop will then feel like its own edition of Intercell rather than a carbon copy of the same touring show.

That contrast will also be particularly apparent across the two dates. In Singapore, the former Pasir Panjang Power Station provides a monumental industrial backdrop, with its architecture lending itself to the warehouse-scale energy of an Intercell event. In Hong Kong, the experience shifts outdoors to AquaBeat on the Kwun Tong waterfront, where the open-air setting offers a completely different environment for the same underground spirit. Together, the two events connect Intercell’s Amsterdam roots with the distinct communities and club cultures emerging across Asia.

Collective Minds Asia has previously brought artists including Fred again.., Jamie xx, Black Coffee, Boris Brejcha and Sammy Virji to the region, with this collaboration marking yet another step in connecting Asia’s dance floors with some of the most influential names in contemporary electronic music.

Bringing a little of Amsterdam’s warehouse culture to Asia, but with each city’s own artists, architecture and dance community helping shape the experience, get ready to experience an authentic underground electronic music life in two of Asia’s busiest metropolitan cities, only with Intercell in Singapore and Hong Kong this November.
