There are few pleasures as quintessentially French as a warm croissant paired with a good coffee. At Sofitel Singapore City Centre, that familiar morning ritual is being given a luxurious new twist — and guests do not even have to leave their rooms to enjoy it.
From 1 September to 26 November 2026, Sofitel Singapore City Centre is teaming up with Nespresso for a limited-edition La Haute Croissanterie “Please Disturb” Croissant and Coffee Pairing Menu, bringing together French pastry craftsmanship and coffee expertise in an indulgent in-room experience.
Part of a global collaboration between Sofitel and Nespresso, the experience invites guests to rediscover le café-croissant, one of France’s most beloved everyday rituals, through the lens of modern luxury. And while the pairing itself may be familiar, the way it arrives is anything but ordinary.

The experience begins with a simple invitation: a “Please Disturb” door hanger placed beside the in-room Nespresso machine, allowing guests to order one of three signature croissant and coffee pairings via the in-room dining QR code.
From there, the ritual unfolds in the privacy of the guest room or suite. Each pairing is delivered on a co-branded tray accompanied by fresh flowers and a co-branded napkin. But the real theatrical moment comes at the end, when the finishing touches are performed directly in the room.
Depending on the pairing, guests might watch as sugar is brûléed to a delicate crisp, an aromatic citrus mist is added, or dark chocolate and Sichuan pepper are freshly grated over the creation. It turns a simple coffee and pastry break into something closer to a private tasting experience, one that can be enjoyed slowly in bed in the morning, as an afternoon pick-me-up or even as a final indulgence before calling it a night.

Centering the experience are three carefully crafted combinations, each designed to bring out the aromas, textures and flavours of both the pastry and coffee. Le Brûlé pairs a Cappuccino Mousse Brûlée with a Crispy Honey Cream Croissant, creating a conversation between almond, honey, caramel and orange. The decaffeinated cappuccino’s toasted finish complements the croissant’s honeyed notes and golden pastry layers, while the lightness of the foam provides contrast to its crisp texture.
For something richer and more decadent, L’Épicé brings together a Spicy Chocolate Coffee and a Coffee-Choco Exotic Croissant. Here, coffee and dark chocolate form the foundation, with silky coffee-chocolate ganache echoing the intensity of the espresso. Oat milk gives the coffee a smooth texture, while passion fruit adds brightness and Sichuan pepper leaves a delicate aromatic kick.
Then there is Le Tonique, a refreshing take on the pairing featuring an Iced Orange Espresso Tonic alongside a Paris Brest Croissant. Hazelnut praline diplomat cream and roasted hazelnuts meet the acidity and bitterness of the iced coffee, while tonic water cuts through the richness. Orange blossom water and fresh orange zest add a bright, floral finish. Together, the three pairings offer very different interpretations of the same timeless idea: coffee and croissants, elevated.

The Singapore launch is part of Sofitel’s global limited-edition La Haute Croissanterie x Nespresso collaboration, which will be available at 20 selected Sofitel properties around the world from 1 September to 26 November 2026. The collaboration brings together two brands united by an appreciation for craftsmanship and the art of turning everyday rituals into memorable experiences.
For Sofitel, that philosophy is already woven into La Haute Croissanterie, which was launched in 2024 with the ambition of elevating the humble croissant through the precision and artistry associated with haute couture. Each creation begins with a traditional French recipe using pure butter and high-quality flour, before being interpreted through seasonal ingredients and the character of its destination.
At Sofitel Singapore City Centre, pastry chef Stanley Mak has taken that philosophy into the new coffee pairing experience. “Coffee and croissants are such a familiar pleasure, so for this menu we wanted to make the pairing feel a little more special without overcomplicating it. My favourite is the Le Brûlé pairing that brings together a Cappuccino Mousse Brûlée with a Crispy Honey Cream Croissant, creating a harmonious balance of almond, honey and caramel notes. At Sofitel Singapore City Centre, we’re excited for our guests to enjoy this morning ritual in a new, elevated way from the comfort of their room, at any time of the day.”

For Nespresso, the collaboration offers another opportunity to explore how coffee can be experienced beyond the traditional cup. Sacha Wittorski, Coffee Expertise & Mixology Specialist at Nespresso, said: “As the exclusive coffee partner of this limited-edition La Haute Croissanterie experience, Nespresso celebrates a shared vision with Sofitel. Coffee holds a special place in every guest’s journey, and bringing this iconic café-croissant pairing to life together with Sofitel’s pastry chefs has been an inspiring collaboration. Guests will be able to savour unique creations born from the shared passion and craftsmanship of Sofitel and Nespresso.”
There is also something wonderfully indulgent about the fact that this experience does not require a restaurant reservation, a change of clothes or even leaving the room. Sofitel Singapore City Centre sits in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, surrounded by historic shophouses and the city’s modern skyline. Yet for this limited-edition experience, guests can temporarily retreat from the bustle below and enjoy a small moment of French-inspired joie de vivre behind their own door.
Perhaps that is the real appeal of the “Please Disturb” experience. It takes something wonderfully ordinary, a coffee and croissant, and gives guests permission to slow down and savour it. Whether enjoyed over a lazy morning, during a quiet afternoon pause or as a late-night treat, the ritual is a reminder that luxury does not always need to be extravagant. Sometimes, it is simply a really good croissant, an expertly crafted coffee and nowhere else you need to be.
