There are cocktails, and then there are experiences. This November, Horatio at Resorts World Sentosa invites guests to cross that invisible line into the extraordinary, as Hong Kong’s trailblazing mixologist Antonio Lai brings his world-famous creations to Singapore for one night only.

As part of Horatio’s Curious Companions series—a monthly showcase celebrating the world’s most imaginative bartenders, Antonio Lai will take over the bar on Thursday, 6 November (8pm–11pm). Known for his groundbreaking concept of multisensory mixology, Lai isn’t just a bartender; he’s a storyteller, using scent, sound, texture, and taste to draw guests into his world.

The man behind Quinary, one of the World’s 50 Best Bars, Lai has spent over a decade revolutionizing Asia’s cocktail culture. His creations are as much performance as potion, often described as edible theatre. His signature Earl Grey Caviar Martini, a frothy, fragrant spectacle crowned with delicate tea caviar, has become a Hong Kong icon—and a modern classic.

Each edition of Horatio’s Curious Companions invites a bartender to bring a taste of their homeland. For Lai, that means infusing the evening with a sense of Hong Kong itself: aromatic, eclectic, and endlessly inventive. Expect his creations to feature Two Moons Five Flowers Tea Gin, a spirit crafted in collaboration with his team at Room 309, inspired by the city’s beloved herbal brews.

Alongside the famed martini, Lai will present the Tropical Sour, a bright blend of mezcal, rum, whisky, yuzu, pineapple, and egg white that balances smoke, citrus, and silk in perfect harmony. Then there’s the Five Flower Tea Negroni, a daring reinterpretation of a classic, marrying the bittersweet soul of a Negroni with the clean herbal elegance of Hong Kong’s traditional teas. And for those who crave mystery, there’s the password-only Secret Cocktail, with its recipe revealed exclusively on Horatio’s Instagram 48 hours before the event.

Lai’s arrival at Horatio marks a meeting of creative worlds. Horatio itself is no ordinary bar; it’s a whimsical escape inspired by the adventures of fictional bon vivant Horatio Fairchild, where storytelling and mixology intertwine. Each “Curious Companions” night adds a new chapter to Horatio’s evolving travelogue, connecting drinkers, dreamers, and makers across the globe.
