Hu Let the Huat Out? Tiger® Is Bringing Big Fortune Energy to Chinese New Year 2026

Chinese New Year in Singapore has always come with a single, powerful wish: Huat. It’s in the reunion dinners, the WhatsApp messages that flood in at midnight, the supermarket runs stacked high with steamboat essentials, and the late-night kopitiam sessions that stretch long after visiting ends. This year, Tiger® is dialling that energy all the way up, literally unleashing the Huat across the island.

From a first-ever five-lion dance troupe to a playful digital greeting experience that turns festive wishes into real rewards, Tiger® is making sure Chinese New Year 2026 feels extra loud, lively, and lucky.

At the heart of the celebrations is Tiger®’s Huat Squad—a first-of-its-kind lion dance troupe featuring five lions instead of the traditional one or two. Each lion represents one of the five blessings Singaporeans hold close during Chinese New Year: longevity, wealth, health, kindness, and peace.

From 30 January to 15 February, the Huat Squad will pop up at six festive roadshows across the island, bringing their high-energy performances straight into the everyday spaces where Singaporeans naturally gather—supermarkets, neighbourhood hubs, and community spots. Expect cymbals clashing, lions leaping, and plenty of festive buzz as they spread good fortune in real time.

There’s a little something extra for early birds too. At each stop, the first 50 shoppers who purchase a 24-can carton of Tiger® will receive two cans of Tiger Radler Mandarin & Honey, along with a limited-edition Huat Coin—perfect as a keepsake or a little charm for the year ahead.

Chinese New Year doesn’t truly begin until your phone lights up with messages—stickers, GIFs, and voice notes all wishing you luck and prosperity. Tiger® has taken this familiar ritual and given it a fun, modern twist with Send The Huat, a digital experience that turns festive greetings into chances to win.

Running from 5 January to 24 February, Send The Huat lets Singapore residents aged 18 and above create and share cheeky, custom greeting videos inspired by the same five blessings represented by the Huat Squad. Each greeting carries a unique referral code, and every share keeps the cycle of Huat going.

Here’s how it works:

  • Pick a greeting video and send it via WhatsApp with your unique code
  • When your friend messages Tiger® and enters your code, both of you unlock a digital spin for prizes
  • Your friend then receives their own greeting and code to continue spreading the Huat (up to 10 times a day)

No purchase is required—just good vibes, good company, and a willingness to share the festive spirit.

And the prizes? They’re very worth huatting for. Participants stand a chance to win everything from an exclusive home visit by the Huat Squad (yes, lions at your doorstep), to over $15,000 worth of supermarket and convenience store vouchers, limited-edition gold-plated Tiger® coins, and extra spins redeemable at Tiger® Chinese New Year roadshows.

Some of the most memorable Chinese New Year moments don’t happen at the reunion table. They happen during last-minute bak kwa runs, while squeezing a trolley through packed supermarket aisles, or over cold beers at the kopitiam after a long day of visiting. Tiger® is leaning into these everyday rituals, bringing festive activations directly to where Singaporeans already are.

At participating supermarkets, shoppers who purchase two or more 24-can cartons of Tiger® or Tiger Crystal can take part in on-site games for a chance to win cash prizes or walk away with limited-edition Tiger® merchandise.

Over at neighbourhood kopitiams, the celebration takes on a delicious twist. Tiger® has teamed up with Century Bak Kwa to create Tiger-infused bak kwa, available alongside festive promotions. Beer lovers can also redeem specially designed Tiger® merchandise—created in collaboration with local creative label Zha Huo Dian, The Corner Shop—when they purchase eight quarts of beer.

As Singapore’s iconic homegrown beer since 1932, Tiger® has long been part of the nation’s Chinese New Year traditions—whether at family reunion dinners, casual gatherings with friends, or spontaneous celebrations that stretch into the night. This year’s islandwide activations feel like a natural evolution of that relationship: familiar, playful, and deeply rooted in how Singaporeans actually celebrate.

If there’s one thing to take away from Tiger®’s Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations, it’s this: Huat isn’t just about big moments—it’s about sharing joy, showing up for one another, and letting a little luck travel far and wide.
