Food: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Turns Nine with a Month of Prime Steaks and Napa Valley Wines

Nine years into its Singapore story, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is marking the occasion the way a classic steakhouse should: with prime beef, generous sides, good wine and a table made for lingering.

This October, the New York-born restaurant celebrates its ninth anniversary with two distinct dining experiences. From 17 October to 15 November, its anniversary menu brings together seafood, dry-aged USDA Prime beef, classic steakhouse sides and dessert at S$99++ per person. Then, on 22 October, a one-night-only dinner with Kenzo Estate takes guests through a five-course menu paired with four wines from the Napa Valley estate.

At the centre of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s anniversary menu is the restaurant’s signature 100% USDA Prime beef, dry-aged in-house to deepen its flavour and tenderness. Available all day for a minimum of two diners, the four-course anniversary menu begins with a Seafood Taster featuring Tuna Tartare, Mini Crab Cake and Jumbo Shrimp, followed by a choice of seasonal greens or the Soup of the Day.

For the main course, diners can choose between the 100% USDA Prime Dry-Aged New York Sirloin or Wolfgang’s iconic Porterhouse Steak, with the latter available at an additional S$38. Both are served sizzling, allowing the quality of the beef and the depth developed through the restaurant’s dry-ageing process to take centre stage.

The steak comes with two classic sides, with options including creamed spinach, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and steak fries. Dessert is left to the Chef’s Selection, rounding out a meal designed to work equally well for a celebratory dinner for two or a larger gathering around the table.

The anniversary menu is priced at S$99++ per person. For those who would like to make it a little more festive, a wine-pairing option is available at S$198++ per person, featuring Taittinger Brut Réserve, Louis Jadot Cellier du Valvan Chablis and Kenzo Estate “rindo”.

For one night only, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse will shift its focus from the steakhouse table to the vineyards of Napa Valley with the Kenzo Estate Wine Pairing Dinner on 22 October at 7pm. Priced at S$288++ per person, the five-course dinner pairs four Kenzo Estate wines with a menu that moves from seafood and soup to lamb and USDA Prime sirloin.

The evening opens with Wolfgang’s Crab Cake with Oscietra Caviar, its golden pan-seared crust giving way to tender blue swimming crab. It is paired with Kenzo Estate Asatsuyu Sauvignon Blanc 2025, whose Asian pear, citrus and fresh herb notes bring brightness to the rich opening course. Lobster Bisque follows, with generous pieces of lobster in a velvety soup. The pairing shifts to yui Rosé 2025, bringing white strawberry, mandarin and raspberry notes to the course.

The dinner then moves into its deeper, more savoury territory with Colorado Lamb Chops with Mint Jelly. Kenzo Estate’s rindo Bordeaux Blend 2021, marked by dark cherry, plum and black pepper character, is matched with the lamb and its sweet mint accompaniment.

The centrepiece is Wolfgang’s 100% USDA Prime Sirloin, paired with Kenzo Estate’s ai Cabernet Sauvignon 2021. Rich in dark berry and subtle cocoa notes, the wine provides a natural counterpart to the restaurant’s dry-aged beef. A Lemon Sorbet brings the dinner to a clean, citrusy close.

Founded by Wolfgang Zwiener, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse has built its reputation around the traditions of the American steakhouse, with USDA Prime beef and in-house dry-ageing at the heart of the experience. In Singapore, the restaurant has become a familiar choice for business meals, celebrations and occasions that call for a little more ceremony. Its ninth anniversary menu stays close to that identity, putting the focus on the things that have made the steakhouse experience enduring: quality beef, classic accompaniments and a table generous enough to share.

For October, there is also a reason to linger over the wine list. Whether it is the anniversary menu or the one-night Kenzo Estate dinner, the celebrations offer two different ways to mark nine years — one with the comforting familiarity of a great steak, and the other with a journey through Napa Valley in the glass.
